Preschool

Our Goal
The Preschool Ministry at First Baptist Orange strives to maintain a clean, safe environment for your children. We are confident your children will feel safe and loved while in our care. Please let us know if you have any concerns or needs. We seek to minister to your entire family and consider it a privilege to care for your child.
What to Expect
Parents are required to check in their children at the preschool control desk. Please make sure we have your child’s information and allergies on file. The child and parent will be given matching security tags. Only an adult with the proper security tag may pick up the child. Only approved children’s workers who have submitted to a background check will be allowed in the classrooms. Please drop off your child with a clean, dry diaper. If your child is toilet trained, please take them to the restroom before dropping them off. You will be notified if we need you to assist or comfort your child before the service or program ends.
Remember to Bring
Please bring a diaper bag, with at least two extra disposable diapers, pacifier clip if baby uses a pacifier, an extra change of clothes and extra undergarments or “pull ups” if potty training, and bottles or cups with your child’s name on them. Please label all items belonging to your child including bags, pacifiers, bottles, and blankets.
Preschool And Nursery Policies
Connection Groups: All Preschoolers are welcome to stay both sessions while you go to Connection groups and worship. Teachers in both sessions will provide Bible truths and activities to share Jesus with even our smallest children! Infant formula, milk, or water, must be provided in plastic bottles. Formula and juice must be prepared by the parent. Please have bottles ready for feeding. Caregivers are not allowed to mix formula or food.
Curriculum and Activities
During Connection Group time (9:45-10:45) we are currently using Gospel Light Preschool Sunday School Curriculum. Children are involved in games, drama, art, stickers, storytelling and music while they learn about God. During First Journey, (beginning at 11 AM) we use First Look Curriculum. Lessons are designed to teach children 3 basic truths:
- God made me.
- God loves me.
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
First Look allows our children to build a first impression of their loving heavenly Father through exciting activities and crafts, Bible story and worship time. Childcare is also provided during our Celebration Service, 8:30-9:30 AM. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call our church office at (409) 886-7461.
